Amtrak Passenger Train Coming June 2025
A new Amtrak Passenger Train running through Coastal Mississippi from New Orleans to Mobile is slated to start operations in June 2025.

Two trains will make a daily round trip: one departing from New Orleans and the other departing from Mobile. Each train will make four stops in Mississippi cities along the way: Bay Saint Louis, Gulfport, Biloxi, and Pascagoula.

This new transportation option is expected to boost local business all along the Mississippi Coast. It also adds new recreational opportunities for Mississippians who want to travel to neighboring states.
Biloxi Saenger Theatre Progress
The Biloxi Saenger Theatre closed for much needed renovations over 6 years ago. Funding for the renovations of this historic landmark has been an obstacle. But renovations continue.
The backstage repairs of Hurricane Katrina damages cost upwards of 5 million dollars. Yet in an interview with WLOX in 2024, Biloxi Mayor, FoFo Gilich, expressed his optimism that it wouldn't be too much longer before the community would be able to come together to in the historic building. In December 2024, the Saenger Theatre renovation project received another $50, 000 infusion to keep the project going.
